The charity has created the Festival at Home pack to tie into its month-long series of activities for families taking place at its Wolseley Centre headquarters for this year’s Wildchild Festival.
The pack will show families how to create all the ingredients they need to create a festival at home, from making a tipi and Wildchild bunting to games and wild creations.
The Trust wants families to download the pack before 4th August – which is Playday – a National Day of Play, encouraging youngsters to head outside and enjoy nature. But the pack can also be used throughout August and beyond as an activity to enjoy during the six-week holidays.
Aimee Burrows, Senior Wildchild Officer, said: “We had to cancel our Wildchild Festival last year, but are really pleased to be bringing it back this year with several events and activities taking place across the Wolseley site in August.
“People can enjoy taking part in the festival by downloading our pack too. We want to encourage as many families as possible to set up a festival on this day and share theirfestival photos with us, we would love to see them!
“You can share any photos with us or tag us via social media such as on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or email to firstname.lastname@example.org and don't forget to use our festival hashtag #WildChildFestival.”
