WildNet - Misty Hutton
Mini Bioblitz at Doxey Marshes
About the event
Drop in session - A bioblitz is an event where people get together to record as many species as possible at a specific area.
Come and help the Site Ranger collect some amazing nature records at Doxey Marshes for a mini site bioblitz. Meet the ranger at the Bioblitz station, chat about the reserve, the wildlife, grab a sweep net and a bug pot and see what you can find!
At our mini bioblitz, learn about the importance of citizen science, Wetland habitats and how to look after our amazing wildlife! You never know what you might find!
We will be using the iNaturalist app (green bird icon on app) to record our amazing wildlife finds. If you have the free iNaturalist app or website log in (https://uk.inaturalist.org/) then you can record as you go, with help from the Ranger, and your observations will all collect in the specially created bioblitz project.
If you don’t have a log in, or don’t want access to iNaturalist then don’t worry, the site ranger will help to take records with you.
