Beat the winter blues by letting nature inspire you – with wildlife themed outdoor activities and crafting, there’s something for everyone.
The fun begins at The Wolseley Centre, near Rugeley, on Monday 16 February with two sessions:
- 10.30am - 12pm – a Wildlings session designed for children aged 6 months to 5 years, but older siblings are welcome too. Activities include making mud pies, bug hunting, and toasting tasty treats on the campfire (weather permitting)!
- 1.30- 3.30m - A Wildfamilies session suitable for all ages. Go wild in the woods! Swing in a hammock, build a den, or toast a tasty treat over the campfire.
Tuesday’s (17 February) offering is another woodland adventure with Forest School based activities from 10.30am until 12.30pm. You’ll be shown how to make useful items, build shelters, cook on fires, and generally have lots of fun!
On Wednesday 18 February there are two sessions to choose from:
- 10.30am - 12.30pm - Wildfamiles Arts and Crafts. Discover what nature can provide to make some amazing pieces of art! From hapa-zome the Japanese fabric printmaking technique, to creating your own natural paint brushes! Our Wildplay equipment will also be out for hammock swinging, den building, or making a mud pie!
- 1.30pm - 3.30pm - Wildfamilies Spring Family Fun. Come and celebrate early spring and Valentine's Day. We'll have some lovely, themed craft items to make, and we'll create some bird feeders. There also will be a trail for spotting seasonal wildlife.
