Gifts in wills

Gifts in wills

1 in 4 of our nature reserves are purchased thanks to gifts in wills, protecting them for future generations.

Making a will is important. It means that, after your death, your wishes are clear and provides peace of mind for those you leave behind.

As well as caring for friends and family, many supporters choose to leave a gift in their will to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust to ensure the landscapes and wildlife they value are still here for future generations to enjoy.

We can support you with:

  • Why you need a will – enjoy tea and cake while hearing stories that highlight the pitfalls of a poorly written will or not having one at all.
  • Will checklist – a simple list of information and decisions that will help you prepare or update your will.
  • Solicitors list – local solicitors offering discounted rates to our supporters.
  • Wills support booklet – details of the free support we provide, you can keep safe until you need it.

How we can support you

Gifts in wills help provide a wilder future for the people, places and wildlife of Staffordshire. Leaving a gift allows others to enjoy Staffordshire’s wildlife and wild places for years to come - just like you do now.

The words used in a will are very important. In particular, if you want to leave a bequest to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, it is important to give our correct name so there can be no misunderstanding. Click here for help with getting the wording right.

I regularly support wildlife and wildlife projects - leaving a legacy to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is probably the best thing I could do for the area my parents came from and where I grew up. It's rather like the best thing I could do for or give to Staffordshire in return for what it gave me - life!
