Staffordshire housebuilder helps centre in need

A local housebuilder has donated vital funds to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s brand new Learning Hub at its Wolseley Centre headquarters.

As part of its commitment to building thriving communities, the team at Redrow Homes Midlands, which is currently building homes at two developments in Stafford, Church View and Priory Park, has donated £250 to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.

The donation will be used towards the creation of the Learning Hub at Wolseley, which is due to open in spring 2020.

The donation will be used to purchase materials for the new centre. The new Learning Hub is a space for schools and the public to use to learn about local wildlife, which is surrounded by 26 acres of wildlife-friendly grounds.

Andrew Cutler, Area Sales Manager for Redrow Homes Midlands, said: “It’s brilliant to be involved and do our bit to support this wonderful charity. We’re very proud to be helping to rebuild the centre and provide local children with a space to learn all about wildlife and nature.

“Creating thriving communities is at the heart of our ethos here at Redrow Midlands, and its wonderful to be able to support the local community by helping to rebuild the education centre.”  

Jo Olivant, Head of People Engagement and Resources for the Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful to Redrow Homes for their kind donation.

“It will allow us to purchase new equipment for the hub, which we are looking forward to opening next year. Its aim is to get young people closer to nature and we’ll be running several activities each week in the hub to allow them to do that.”
