Families are being invited to experience a much-loved Beatrix Potter classic at a popular outdoor theatre production set in the beautiful surroundings of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s Wolseley Centre headquarters.

Quantum Theatre will be bringing The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny to The Wolseley Centre on Saturday 7th August from 6.30pm.

It is the first time The Wolseley Centre, near Rugeley, has hosted an outdoor theatre show. The Wolseley Centre is a popular visitor destination set among 26 acres of wildlife friendly grounds.

Quantum Theatre is an outdoor theatre company who tour across the country with new adaptions of classic texts and Shakespeare plays.

The production of Peter Rabbit is being held as part of the Trust’s Wildchild Festival taking place throughout August, with other activities to be announced soon.

Aimee Burrows, the Trust’s Senior Wildchild Officer, said: “This is a new venture for us and we’re excited to be working with Quantum Theatre to bring this exciting production to our Wolseley Centre HQ.

“The grounds of our Wolseley HQ are the perfect location for events like this, and it is a great opportunity to watch a fun and quality production in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Quantum tour all over the country and we are looking forward to welcoming them to our centre.”

Money raised from the production will go towards the Trust’s conservation work looking after wildlife and wild places across Staffordshire.
