In this session in partnership with Manchester Art Gallery learn how nature has influenced artworks throughout history.
This session aimed at adults will include;
- a presentation on how artists of past and present have found inspiration in the natural world
- we'll be given a tour of some of the nature inspired pieces on display at the Manchester Art Gallery as well as those in other collections
- investigating symbolism in art pieces with a nature theme
- an activity based around how you can use nature to inspire you to create artwork at home
There will also be the opportunity for a Q & A at the end of the session
We are encouraging those who sign up to the session to send in a photo of an artwork they have created that was inspired by nature and we'll feature some of them in the webinar!
Sign up for FREE and you'll also receive a themed wild art activity sheet!
Connecting with nature has been proven to improve mental health and well-being and during this difficult time, we need it more than ever. Through our Get Wild at Home experience, we are bringing some wild into your homes and are offering advice and tips on how you can support and embrace wildlife at home.
As a charity, our work would not be possible without the kind donations from our supporters. If you would like to help us continue looking after Staffordshire's wildlife and wild places and inspiring others about nature, you can make a donation below, or here. Together, we will create a Wilder Staffordshire
