Get wild outdoors with the whole family!
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has loads of exciting activities on offer to help families and children get closer to the natural world.
What? Nature Tots is a regular group for pre-school children and their parents suitable for 18 months to 5 years (0-17 months free with paying older sibling). Learn, make and have fun outdoors. At each meet up, youngsters get stuck into a variety of stimulating learning experiences in the natural environment, such as nature trails, making natural collages and mud-painting and games! Nature Tots is an indoor and outdoor toddler group aimed at encouraging toddlers engagement with nature. Each session is themed and includes a snack and story time!
• Where and when? Nature Tots groups meet up at Westport Lake Visitor Centre and The Wolseley Centre and secured funding often allows us to run sessions at other locations within the county. Search our What's On for upcoming sessions. We play whatever the weather so make sure you and the little ones are dressed suitably!
What? Wildlings is an exciting new play group with a twist. Come along and try new things outdoors! Aimed at 6 months to 5 years (0-5 months free with paying older sibling), little ones can explore, play and discover in the great outdoors with their parent/carer. We get up to all sorts of fun such as minibeast hunting, trying our renowned mud slide and toasting marshmallows over the campfire. All sessions include a hot drink for adults, plus drinks and snacks for the little ones. We play whatever the weather so pleased come dressed suitably.
Where and when? The sessions are being run at The Wolseley Centre, our Highgate Common and Hem Heath nature reserves and in the South West Peaks at various locations. Search our What's On or upcoming sessions and for more information.
