Forest school at Trentham Gardens
About the event
Are you aged between 8-13 years? Leave your parents behind and enjoy a morning of Forest School at Trentham Gardens.
Forest School sessions aim to give you the opportunity to connect with the outside world and to learn a range of new skills. Activities may include using fire to cook food or heat water for drinks, using a variety of tools to make items from wood, building dens from natural materials and a variety of outdoor crafts and games.
The Forest School ethos aims to develop your learning in a holistic way, ensuring that you gain teamwork skills, empathy for the world and its inhabitants and the development of both gross and fine motor skills.
Don’t forget to wear some warm layers and a pair of sturdy shoes or wellies as we’ll be outdoors, and bring a drink and some snacks.
We ask that you do not attend this event if you, or anyone in your household, are showing symptoms of any contagious illness such as Covid 19 or if you have been contacted by the Test and Trace system and advised to self-isolate.
