Rio Carnival Style Wild Yoga @ Westport Lake

About the event

Yoga poses and actions themed around the marvellous Mardi Gras Carnival that's happening on the same day in Rio de Janeiro! It's going to be a wonderful celebration of colour, birds and nature! So beat those winter blues by joining in with our carnival themed Wild Yoga, immersing yourself in the wild, having a go at fun nature crafts and calm mindful activities too.

Taught by our qualified children's yoga teachers, these sessions provide children with an introduction to yoga and mindfulness outdoors. They will learn how to safely do yoga poses in a calming environment, discover how to relax outdoors, and have the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature during our "yoga explore" activities at the end of the session. 

Please note, the poses we do during the classes are aimed at children of the specific age groups advertised, so although younger siblings may attend with parents/carers they will not be able to participate. 

We recommend that participants wear comfy clothes you can move in, also to bring a drink and some snacks. A blanket and favourite cuddly toy is also nice to bring along to help your child feel comfortable and cosy during the relaxation. There are facilities at the visitor centre.
