Trust to open new charity shop in Codsall

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is excited to announce it is set to open its new charity shop in Codsall.

The charity will open its new store in Wolverhampton Road in April to take its stable of charity shops to three. The Trust already has shops in Leek, which opened in 2015 and Penkridge, which opened in 2019.Ā

The Trust became the first Wildlife Trust branch to open a charity shop when the Leek shop opened.

The shops help to support the Trustā€™s work across Staffordshire, including helping to run its 30 nature reserves, including the nearest reserve toĀ Codsall, Highgate Common. The shop will also support its other conservation work and environmental education.

Items on sale will include an array of traditional charity shop, pre-loved items including clothes, books, DVDs and games, as well as a range of new items.

Builders and workmen are currently revamping the empty building inĀ CodsallĀ ready for the opening in April.

Sue Chance, Head of Commercial for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: ā€œWe are excited to become part of the shopping scene inĀ CodsallĀ and opening our new shop there.

ā€œWe hope people in the area like this new venture and we are looking forward to meeting our new customers very soon.

ā€œTo help support our shops, we are always in need of good quality donations. If anyone is having or had a post-Christmas clear out, weā€™d be extremely grateful if they could donate items to us which go towards supporting the shop.

ā€œOur shops rely on the generous donations from members of the public.ā€

The Trust also requires volunteers to help with the running of the shop. Tasks include dealing with customers, stock taking, stock replenishment and general customer service duties. Anyone interested should call Sue Chance at the Trust on 01889 880125.
