How to get there

Directions

The Wolseley Centre is easy to find on A51 near Rugeley.  Here's a map!

Look for the brown tourist signs.

Why not visit us by public transport? The Arriva 825 from Stafford to Lichfield stops outside our door and at most times of the day runs every half hour.

Post Code: ST17 0WT

Telephone: 01889 880100

From Stafford follow A513 east towards Rugeley for 6 miles until you reach Wolseley Bridge.  At the double roundabout cross the first, and turn left at the second into the Wolseley Garden Centre entrance.  The driveway entrance to The Wolseley Centre is immediately on the right next to the small building

From Rugeley take the A51 west for 2miles.  At the roundabout turn right into the Wolseley Garden Centre entrance.  The driveway entrance to The Wolseley Centre is immediately on the right next to the small building

From Stoke-on-Trent take the A34 south and then A51 south from Stone.  Head south for 12 miles until you reach Wolseley Bridge.  At the double roundabout take the left hand filter lane and then turn left at the second roundabout into the Wolseley Garden Centre entrance.  The driveway entrance to The Wolseley Centre is immediately on the right next to the small building

Parking & Access

There is ample parking at The Wolseley Centre.  The car park is locked at 5:15pm daily, but visitors are free to park outside the gates and explore the grounds on foot.  Access is required at all times so please do not block the gates.

Parking at the centre is free, but we welcome a £1 donation for parking towards the costs of maintainence work on the driveway and car park

Do’s & Dont’s

Feeding the ducks

Please avoid feeding bread to the ducks and geese at Wolseley.  Although bread isnt harmful, it lacks the nutrients birds need to survive and can eventually lead to the bird starving.  If you would like to feed the waterbirds at Wolseley you can now buy a bag of specially formulated feed from the Visitor Centre, perfect for our feathered friends!

Fishing

Unfortunately fishing is not permitted on the site's lakes or along the River Trent.  There are several private fishing lakes in the area, as well as the Trent & Mersey Canal nearby.
