Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is looking for more volunteers to get involved with their important work.

There are two roles on offer, one is helping at the Trust’s charity shops in Codsall and Penkridge. They are also looking for a volunteer van driver to help move stock between visitor centres and charity shops around the county.

Georgina Stockhall, Cluster Shop Manager for the Trust, says:

“Our volunteers are the beating heart of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust; we couldn't do the work we do without our wonderful volunteers. The money we raise at our charity shops helps us fund different conservation projects around the county and also provides a retail service to local communities. We're really excited to be expanding our team."

The shops also serve the function of repurposing manufactured goods when items are purchased by a new owner. Georgina added, “It might seem obvious that a charity shop is a great way to reuse items and raise some money for charitable purposes, but from a conservation perspective; it is also an act to care for our environment and lessens the amount of things going into landfill.”
