Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has revealed 12 stunning photographs which will feature in its 2024 charity calendar.
We know that overall nature is declining and weā€™re doing our absolute best to reverse this downward spiral ā€“ vital funds from sales of the calendar will help us with all of our work to do this.

The photography competition to find the images saw hundreds of high quality entries but the chosen images really stood out for their quality and beautiful portrayal of the wildlife captured.

The winning photographers will find out who the overall winner is at a special event at the end of August. VIP judge, talented UK wildlife photographer Kevin Morgans will choose the image which will feature on the front cover of the calendar and present them with their prize at the event. They will receive a top of the range camera bag worth Ā£300, kindly donated by the competition sponsors Lowepro and a signed copy of Kevinā€™s book, Puffins: Life on the Atlantic Edge.

Sarah Davison, Marketing and Communications Manager for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: ā€œWe received so many amazing photos and want to thank everyone who took the time to enter. The variety and quality of photography was outstanding; although it was a tough job judging the 12 winners, we were all very inspired by the entries.

ā€œThis calendar gives a snapshot of the wonderful wildlife which can be enjoyed locally. It will be on sale in our shops, and online from September ā€“ we think itā€™s the perfect Christmas present for your nature loving friends or family!ā€

After the presentation event the winning photographs, and a selection of other highly commended photos, will be available for visitors to view and enjoy at a special exhibition at The Wolseley Centre near Rugeley during the first two weeks of September.Ā
