The pack is downloadable for free from the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust website and includes top tips on how to record species of plants, animals, and insects that walkers may spot when out on a local ramble. Information about two nature reserves in the project’s area; Hem Heath and Parrot’s Drumble is also detailed in the pack.

Kathryn Kavanagh, Senior Conservation Engagement Officer for the project says,
 

“We’re really excited to provide this resource in the lead up to the project’s completion. While the project is formally ending this month, this pack can be used anytime along with the other guidance we’ve created over the past 18 months. During this time, we’ve helped build a dedicated, hardworking group of volunteers for 8 green sites across Stoke and Newcastle who have found the sessions invaluable, boosting their wellbeing and helping them to get outside. We have engaged with over 2,744 people, and we are excited to see how these local wildlife champions proceed in caring for their community green spaces.”
 

This guide will be the final pack provided during the project which finishes on 31March 2023. Residents in Stoke and Newcastle are invited to download the pack from www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/roving-rangers-sign and book onto the remaining family sessions taking place on Thursdays until the end of March. The events are free to attend thanks to support from The Green Recovery Challenge Fund.
