Wildlife presenters to join in Trust’s 50th anniversary celebrations at Lichfield Garrick event

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is giving people the chance to find out more about the wonderful world of wildlife and television presenting with two BBC Springwatch stars at a special event at the Lichfield Garrick in September.

The Trust is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and is holding ‘A Wildlife Road Trip’ evening with wildlife presenters Martin Hughes-Games and Iolo Williams on Friday 20th September as part of the celebrations.

Tickets are now on sale for the show, which will be "an informative and amusing wildlife evening packed with fascinating facts and fun for the whole family."

The audience will be taken on an exciting journey filled with real life stories and behind the scenes of what it is like to be a wildlife and television presenter.

All proceeds from the performance will go towards the work the charity carries out across Staffordshire, including looking after wildlife and wild places.

Alison Holmes, Commercial Manager for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We have a packed schedule of events to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and we’re delighted Martin and Iolo will be joining us for an event which will be extremely fun and informative.

“People may recognise them from working on BBC Springwatch and they will be sure to have lots of interesting and entertaining stories to tell us about what life is like working on such a prestigious and well-known show.

“Both are extremely passionate about the natural world and we are very glad they’ll be joining us at such a superb venue.”

Daniel Ingleby, Communications Manager at the Lichfield Garrick and supporter of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We are really excited to be the host venue for this event, especially as this is such a worthy charity that looks after Staffordshire’s wildlife and wild places. I’m really looking forward to hearing Martin and Iolo talk about some of their journeys around other wildlife hotspots around Britain. Make sure to grab your tickets today!”

Tickets cost £27 for a standard ticket or £40 for a VIP ticket. VIP tickets include front row seats and an informal pre-show meet and greet with the presenters. They can be purchased at https://www.lichfieldgarrick.com/whats-on/talk/wildlife-road-trip/2476
