At Wolseley we offer the full range of our environmental education programmes and are happy to discuss any particular needs that your group may have.

Programmes

The following programmes are available at the Wolseley Centre. For more details about each programme please click on each programme heading.

Through the medium of drama children learn about the life-cycle of the butterfly.

Exciting activities introduce young children to the diversity and behaviour of birds.

Exciting exploration of the natural environment using the senses.

Hands-on programme looking at different renewable energy sources.

Children investigate where mini-beasts live and experiment with a variety of survey and capture
methods.

Hands on activities that allows children to explore the world of water and the life cycle of frogs.

Innovative approach to understanding how living things are dependent on food chains in their environment.

Series of 'artistic' activities designed to raise children's awareness of the natural world.

Using the River Trent pupils investigate the physical processes, geography and ecosystems of the
river.

Explore the trees and other plants while creating a scarp book as you go.

Explore the underwater world of ponds and streams and the creatures living there.

Key Stage 3 & 4
If you are a Secondary School looking to enhance Geography, Science, Citizenship or even the new Environmental Land Based Diploma lessons, then please contact the Education Team at Wolseley to discuss your individual needs for specific activities and sessions.

Parking & Access

We have ample car parking, cycle racks and a coach bay. When ariving by coach, please note that you must park at the coach bay located by the main gates and walk approx 250m to the centre. The majority of local coach companies are familiar with the centre but a location map is available to download

Do’s & Dont’s

If you intend to visit the centre with a large group independently of our Environmental Education Service, please inform us of your visit so we can manage the number of people on site. Some areas of the site may be unavailable due to paying school visits or management work.
