Wildlife Issues
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is involved in a variety of activities which aim to protect and enhance the wildlife and wild places in Staffordshire. This is achieved through a range of ongoing conservation projects.
In this section you will find a mix of information from national Wildlife Trust campaigns such as the Living Seas project, to local projects which focus on the particular merits of Staffordshire’s countryside, such as Local Wildlife Sites, Wetlands Restoration and the Staffordshire Biodiversity Action Plan.
There is a section on Planning should you be affected by an application in your area, or want to know more about the planning process with regards to conservation.
For more general information on wildlife in Staffordshire we have also provided other resources including publications, factsheets and a frequently asked questions page.
Finally you may wish to get in touch with your local Barn Owl group or the Staffordshire Mammal Group for more information; you can do this through our Specialist Groups page.
