The OnTrent Initiative

 

The OnTrent Initiative is a partnership project involving a wide range of public, statutory, voluntary and commercialorganisations working to secure a sustainable balance between the natural, cultural and historic environment, agriculture, commercial activity and development along the River Trent.OnTrent takes a strategic overview of the whole River Trent and its catchment.

OnTrent is a partnership initiative that supports a network of organisations to work together and co-ordinate their activities in order to achieve the OnTrent Vision;

 

“ A Trent landscape, rich in wildlife habitats, landscape and historic features for the benefit of all, both now and in the future”.

The OnTrent partnership aims to deliver its vision by influencing and maximising the opportunities presented through a range of policies, plans and management practices. OnTrent supports partnership development, identifies funding sources and provides ongoing support and technical steer for project delivery by the partners. Where no other mechanism exists OnTrent delivers projects directly.
