Programmes

The following programmes are available at the Highgate Centre. For more details about each programme please click on each programme heading.

Key Stage 1 - 2

Earthwalks
Exciting exploration of the natural environment using the senses.

Exploring Mini-beasts
Children investigate where mini-beasts live and experiment with a variety of survey and capture
methods.

Naturally Art
Series of 'artistic' activities designed to raise children's awareness of the natural world.

Watery Wildlife
Explore the underwater world of ponds and streams and the creatures living there.

Key Stage 2

Innovative approach to understanding how living things are dependent on food chains in their environment.

Key Stage 3 & 4

If you are a Secondary School looking to enhance Geography, Science, Citizenship or even the new Environmental Land Based Diploma lessons, then please contact the Education Team at Highgate to discuss your individual needs for specific activities and sessions.

How to get there

Directions

 

From the A449 at Himley take the B4176 Bridgnorth Road towards Bridgnorth. After approx 1 mile, turn left at the traffic lights onto Wombourne Rd, signposted towards Swindon. Follow the road through the village of Swindon, round to the right and up the hill along Chasepool Rd. At the T Junction at the top of Chasepool Rd, turn right onto Camp Hill Road. Take 1st left onto Mere Lane, then 1st right at the T junction onto Highgate Rd. Our new building, the Cory Community Centre, (wardens offices, education room & public conveniences) are 1st entrance on right off Highgate Rd.

Nearest postcode is DY7 5BS which takes you to the top of the hill on Highgate Road.
